Improve mental health with self care & pampering

Yesterday was world mental health day and it seems more vital than ever to show ourselves some kindness and take a moment to relax.

What better way than a little self care and pampering to help maintain our mental health!

Here are a couple of suggestions from the salon.

At home -
How about a home hair mask to leave you with luscious locks that feel like silk?

Shampoo your hair twice and squeeze out any excess moisture then;

Either us a specific hair mask and leave on your hair for 3-15 minutes before rinsing!

For a budget version, use your usual conditioner and apply post shampoo and wrap your hair in a shower cap or towel and leave on your hair for 3-15 minutes before rinsing and give yourself a scalp massage if you have time!

In the salon -
Each visit to us you will be offered a scalp massage when you get your hair shampooed!

I feel very strongly about offering my clients a relaxing massage as part of having your hair shampooed! For people who LOVE a scalp massage, it’s a great way to unwind.

Beginning with two shampoos then a delicious and deeply relaxing 20 minute scalp, neck and shoulder massage (through your clothes) then sit under the gentle heat of the overhead dryer for 10 minutes with a hot drink of your choice and a magazine. Yes it’s £35 but oh boy, it’s worth it!
